Presented by Joan Koelzer, DVM :: Pets In Need founder, and our local colleague and WMVMA member!

Dr. Koelzer will be discussing Pets In Need, a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to provide assistance to underserved pets and pet owners in our community. It has helped over 200 animals so far, and provides assistance in a manner that supports the private veterinary practitioners (not competing with them). At this time, it provides mostly dental and surgical procedures and strictly verifies the income of all clients.

Dr. Koelzer plans to discuss the following: 

• How is our organization run?
• What is our philosophy?
• What procedures do we do? She will share some interesting cases and stories
• What is our future? This includes current focus on involving MSU CVM and other local animal welfare organizations with this project. Do you want to be involved?
• What can PIN do for YOU? This includes both helping your personally selected clients with one time procedures AND offering you opportunities to hone your skills.
• If you want practice with dental extractions and soft tissue surgery, we may be able to work something out!!!!!!
