We are proud to present our first veterinary-technician focused webinar! This webinar will focus on feline anesthesia from a nursing perspective. During this one-hour webinar, Heidi Reuss-Lamky, LVT, VTS (anesthesia and analgesia),(surgery), CFVP Fear Free Elite Certified Professional will explain fear free handling techniques, identify anesthetic plan variations unique to cats, and describe how to properly use and troubleshoot monitoring equipment. This meeting is RACE accredited, and while it is nursing-focused, this is open to both member technicians and member veterinarians.

 Here are the quick details:

  • This meeting is limited to member technicians and member veterinarians only.
  • After registration with the WMVMA, you will receive an email with a link to register with Zoom. You must register with Zoom to get the email invitation to the webinar.

Description: Purr-fect Feline Anesthesia: Anesthetizing felines can pose unique challenges for the veterinary technician. In addition to the fact that cats can be difficult to monitor under anesthesia, their small sizes, interesting metabolism, variable temperament, and propensity towards particular health problems can also prove problematic. During the presentation, learn how to successfully address these challenges while avoiding the many pitfalls associated with anesthetizing felines. Fear Free feline handling techniques will also be discussed.
