Topic : "Progressive Leadership: Placing Individual & Team Well-being at the Forefront " 

In this 50-minute session, attendees will experience the intersection of well-being and progressive leadership. This session will inspire attendees to activate the leader within by bringing together the guiding principles of well-being to infuse the culture of their individual lives and, ultimately, their organizations. By the end of this session, attendees will feel confident in their ability to positively impact individual and community morale, patient and client care, productivity, efficiency, and development. 

Objectives:

  • Describe the organic outcomes of well-being on influencing and guiding the team.

  • Redefine personal and professional balance as an individual veterinary professional. 

  • Create a list of 5 healthy boundaries as a leader of yourself.  

  • Describe a strategy for taking self-inventory & team well-being inventory and explain how this awareness can lead to effective adjustments for overcoming everyday well-being struggles in the clinical setting.

About our speakers and GetMotiVETed!:

Renee Machel is an internationally recognized well-being speaker, certified life coach, CYT 200 yoga instructor, mindfulness, and meditation guide. As the co-founder of Get MotiVETed she aims to provide a positive impact on people’s wellbeing and enhance the culture within organizations. She has spent nearly 20 years in the veterinary industry as a hospital leader and veterinary assistant.

Dr. Quincy Hawley is a 2013 graduate of NC State’s CVM. He is a Certified Professional Coach, and self-published self-help and fitness author. Dr. Hawley has experience coaching a variety of veterinary professionals, including but not limited to veterinarians, practice managers, and various veterinary hospital support staff.
